Three blind mice

Chicken Licken

Geoffrey's Grans

This is a sad tale about 2 sisters who fell in love with the same man. A real cad. The sister he first courted, lost it, and she now lives in her mirror - it's her reflection that's in the real world! The second is more optimistic. She has been waiting for 60 years, and continues to wait! I think it's my Colonel down there that these two damsels lost their hearts to. He looks the type.
Here are some rough ideas ...

Jason the inventor

I'm working on an idea for a kiddies story about a little boy who lives in small village with his gran. His gran is a hard-working old woman who works as a domestic in a nearby town. He is a young boy with a special gift for fixing things ... Here are a few ideas for the gran.

Seapoodles

I live in a seaside town - and this caught my eye one winter's day. I found the idea of posh poodles playing on the beach really cute. I drew this and later on just coincidentally met the owner. She commissioned me to do something similar of her husband ...

Seapoodles 2

This was the first sketch for a commission - this was a surprise gift for the client's husband and I had only seen him briefly (secretly spied on him!). I never picked up that he had a beard and moustache at first glimpse. So much for reliable witnesses!

Seapoodles 3

This was the final artwork for the client. It depicted him in a more active way with the sea poodles and enlivened them more, making them funnier. I find poodles on a beach really funny which is why I did the original drawing of the client in the first place!

The finished item.

Here is the finished artwork - printed on canvas and stretched over a stretcher frame - ready for framing

Calligraphy birdy

This sketch was as a result of experimenting with a calligraphy pen.

Doshenkat

I have always loved drawing this type of cat. Later I would like to adorn her with a nice pattern ...

Lil Aidan

My niece's little son Aidan is so cute! I could never do his beauty justice. But she has a great sense of humour and he has a stripey babygrow which they like to leave undone while he plays at home. I thought this looked cute and funny.

moody artist

This is based on my teacher and mentor, and someone very near and dear to me, Douw. He is moody and extremely funny and a great artist!

Salty the sea rabbit

This little guy popped out of nowhere and is giving me an idea for a lovely story. I think he lives by the sea, and perhaps he's a detective ...

Colonel Catastrophe

This guy is definitely your typical, every day, blundering Colonel!
