This was a pitch for a story about a little girl called Super Charlotte. The whole project was cancelled before the bidding began. (iFreelance - American site for illustrators)
This is a sad tale about 2 sisters who fell in love with the same man. A real cad. The sister he first courted, lost it, and she now lives in her mirror - it's her reflection that's in the real world! The second is more optimistic. She has been waiting for 60 years, and continues to wait! I think it's my Colonel down there that these two damsels lost their hearts to. He looks the type.
I'm working on an idea for a kiddies story about a little boy who lives in small village with his gran. His gran is a hard-working old woman who works as a domestic in a nearby town. He is a young boy with a special gift for fixing things ... Here are a few ideas for the gran.
I live in a seaside town - and this caught my eye one winter's day. I found the idea of posh poodles playing on the beach really cute. I drew this and later on just coincidentally met the owner. She commissioned me to do something similar of her husband ...
This was the first sketch for a commission - this was a surprise gift for the client's husband and I had only seen him briefly (secretly spied on him!). I never picked up that he had a beard and moustache at first glimpse. So much for reliable witnesses!
This was the final artwork for the client. It depicted him in a more active way with the sea poodles and enlivened them more, making them funnier. I find poodles on a beach really funny which is why I did the original drawing of the client in the first place!
My niece's little son Aidan is so cute! I could never do his beauty justice. But she has a great sense of humour and he has a stripey babygrow which they like to leave undone while he plays at home. I thought this looked cute and funny.
